It's not every day we get a nice new shiny toy to play with at the launch point but today, after some minor teething problems, the club's new purchase was presented to weekend members. First we had a briefing from the CFI about field landings to ensure that when the ASW19's potential is unleashed we do not bend it. And then, once the showers cleared, we flew it till close of play. The consensus was that our ASW19 is a joy to fly and thermal. There are pre-flight qualifications required - Bronze C plus Cross Country Endorsement - but this should be no problem for solo pilots given Mike Weston's work encouraging pilots to progress through these qualifications. Now we just need some cross-country weather.
