A good weekend for a change

Good conditions forecast and delivered over the weekend and a busy launch point on both days with both aerotows and winch launches available. Visitors from Kenley and Bidford also boosted the numbers. Simon Buckley, Mike Randle, Robin Birch, Tom Gooch, Tony Chapman, Doug Gardner and Kevin Russell (DG500) and Mike Weston all completed 300+km flights on Saturday. with Doug taking the DG to the Isle of Wight. Sunday started a little warmer and a little less cumulus and tasks were set, an increasing south westerly made it a little more challenging to get home and Felix landed out in EFZ near to Newport Pagnall and Tom Gooch took 5 hours to get back from St Neots but got home safely. Roger Green got some cross country experience in the Duo with a trip to Newport Pagnell and back via Edgehill, The DG with Paul Gentil and Doug Gardner on board again went cross country to Devizes and Kingsclere. A good weekend and congratulations to Tony Chapman for his first 300km and to Paul Mather for completing his silver duration on Sunday. Apologies if I have missed any other notable achievements.
