Portmoak Expedition

We have had two days of flying so far at Portmoak, Sunday was a day of circuits with the odd extension. Emil tried some Easterly wave in front of the Bishop Hill, extending the flight by a few minutes. Paul found a short lived thermal to extend his
flight.
Monday dawned bright and full of promise, the launch point was busy with all but one
Aircraft belonging to us visitors. The thermals were strong and cloud base rose to more than 3000ft above site, eventually the forecast showers could be seen on the horizon and marched towards the airfield. This sent most of the aircraft to their trailers to be de rigged in the rain, the PW6 continued between the showers with Emil and Paul completing several launch failures. Paul managed one solo circuit and as Emil was preparing to launch one very big long lasting shower sent the two seater’s to the hanger.
Looks like rain for a couple of days so other activities are planned.
