The hangar doors were open at 8.30 with a plan to get the first launch by 10am however the freezing weather did its best to slow us down in getting the kit out. We got there in the end and had the first glider airborne by 10.25 into a rather murky sky. The poor visibility and misting problems meant we sat on the ground for over an hour but willing volunteers put the time to good use by giving a couple of gliders and the bus a good clean. We were flying again at 12.30 and the day got rather good. A couple of winter refreshers were completed, Matt Page solo'd on the Astir and everyone flew. A better than expected day.
