Saturday 7th Jan

Launching from 27 in a quite brisk westerly. Evidence of wave activity brought out a few single seaters to join the PW6 and K13 at the launch point. Some slightly extended flights, but the only glider to get away was Mike in RB (with turbo) who found the wave at about 2000 feet just to the north of the valley next to the airfield. Mike took it up to around 7000 feet or so - see picture. The rest of us slogged the circuit and let the wind blow away the Christmas cobwebs. Still, its time to get ready for the coming season, so all you folk who still need winter refreshers, get along to the club now and beat the rush!
