Wintry Wednesday

Fleeces and waterproofs were the order of the day as the showers rolled through, some depositing sleet. The Wednesday group retreated around lunchtime but the UWE students turned up in the afternoon and one was rewarded by a terrific view of a full rainbow over the airfield which followed us around as we flew the circuit. The visibility was crystal clear and from 1000' Didcot Power Station stood out as if it was only a few miles away. after flying we packed up KRU for its trip to Portmoak. Thanks to David Hughes for staying on and to Richard Kill for driving the winch.
