Sept 24th: "The Saturday before"

The start was delayed by low cloud stratus which burned off to give us quite a good day after about 12:30. A few soaring flights were had, with most of the club fleet out and active. Wind was straight down runway 21, strength about 15 knots, so really quite pleasant conditions for launches and landings. A good training day. Many congratulations to Jonathan for his "second" first solo. His first was about 22 years ago with the ATC in a Falke motor glider. This one was in the PW6. Also of note; Remi flew with us for the last time as he returns to France next week. He managed 2 more solos in the PW6 and then converted to the Pilatus. His smile said it all. Good luck with the gliding in France. Last landing today was at 7:15 pm. (Sunset was 7:01, so getting close to official night!)
