Saturday 11th June
Today started with great promise, a cool westerly and clear blue skies. It was the turn of AD to host the inter-club league and gliders from the Rockpolisher Clubs descended on us, were briefed and launched on their way, Task was to the south east and that proved an excellent way to go as heavy showers moved along the Severn Vale and into the Cotswolds to the north of AD. Remarkably we stayed largely dry and there was some excellent local soaring. Cloudbase rising to over 5500 feet above site. We ran a 4 cable launch system, mainly to help get all the competition gliders away. Despite the availability of cables, we could have done with more 2 seater launches to meet demand! If you missed out today, I hope you get on the top of the flying list next time.
