Thursday 28th April

Looks like this is the last day of the present run of good weather. Started blue and remained so pretty much with some small Cu developing atop the stronger thermals. Chris Gough took the last launch before lunch at 13:10 and hung on to find the inverison at about 2500' above site and some weak wave over the top - just enough to maintain height for a bit, but not to climb in. The rest of the pack launched after 14:30 and the conditions slowly improved with some thermals getting to 3000' or so. Lots of sink as well of course. As the bus was put away at the end of the day, there were still half a dozen gliders soaring in what had become much easier and wider thermals. Welcome to our vistors from Mendip - hope you had a worthwhile week with us.
