Just a brief note to say how we are getting on in Port Moak. We have flown on each day up till today (Wednesday) as the weather has now closed in.
Monday and Tuesday were the best days to date. Monday was ridge and thermal flying in a decent South Westerly with everyone managing at least one decent flight. Tuesday saw a stiff Westerly with ridge, rotor affected thermals and wave. John MacWilliams got the distance price for flying up and down from Crief to Edzel (half way to Aberdeen) - whilst Robin Birch got to 11,200 ft in wave over Glenfarg. Everyone else managed decent flights to between 5,000 and 6,000 ft with Simon Buckley getting himself swallowed by a cloud, his version is that it snuck up and attacked him, nasty they are up here.
We are all having a bit of a day off today and hopefully we'll have another go later in the week.
