Sunday April 10

Another blue day with varying amounts of lift, the best of which was early afternoon. Several private gliders were rigged and deployed and it was especially nice to see both PW’s sharing a thermal over AD. Dave Gardiner was kept busy in the 500 doing trial lessons while several club members, including our enthusiastic UWE students, got to familiarise themselves, or try for the first time, flying the PW’s. This resulted in a 100% thumbs up for the much missed KRU & KRX, thanks to Adrian F & Simon L for sorting out the wheel brake.
Lara Small re-soloed in the Astir (well done) (and true to form managed to land {almost} on the Peri Track). In the meantime an intrepid Mosquito pilot made ground breaking history (in terms of the shortest attempt re the 100K) by managing to land in a field 5K from AD on route to Broadway. When asked whether He was on the out or return leg he said “No comment” I guess we can all draw our own conclusions!!
