Saturday 9th April

A nice day marred by the wind direction. Forecast was for basically blue termals to an inversion, but actually turned out pretty good. Cu was seen to be forming to the south and it eventually arrived over the airfield giving good thermals to over 4000 feet above site. Below 2000 it was lttile bit difficult, as there was plenty of sink to catch the uwary. But the good cores were strong and not too difficult to centre. Wind was almost exactly at 90 deg to the main runway and from the East, so we elected to live with the cross wind for the day. All-in all a good one for early April.
