An enthusiastic bunch turned up early to get the kit DI'd, winch and bus out only to have to sit around for a couple of hours watching a frontal system dump its moisture onto AD. Un-deterred, breaking skies ensured a spirited effort commenced to get the gliders out and flying - only for the galant crew to have to sit in the bus (and under a wing) for another 30 minutes as rain and hail gatecrashed the party. With another brief break in the weather and deciding that discretion is the better part of valour, two launches followed and the gliders put away.
