Saturday 4th Sept - DG Day

OK, so there WERE other types out today, but the DGs 100, 200, 300 and 500 all launched into a sky full of uncertain promise. Generally 8/8 top cover with the occasional break, but with scraggy cumulus beneath and haze beneath that! Cloudbase started at about 2200 or 2400 with thermals between 0.5 and 3 kts. The good thermals were fairly easy to work. Later the cloudbase rose to 3000 triggered by a break in the upper cloud that allowed some more heat through. I shared a nice wide thermal with one of the K13s, just formating on the opposite side of the turn and we both climbed at 3kts+ on my averager.
Nasty bad viz, but a good local soaring day if you kept your eyes open!
